Barcelona Port Walkways

The port of Barcelona is one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean. It is strategically located and offers a wide range of services related to logistics and maritime transportation.

Barcelona's container terminals have modern facilities and advanced technology specialized in the loading and unloading of containers at the port, providing comprehensive services for efficient cargo handling.

SOLUTION PROPOSED BY THE DELVALLE ENGINEERING TEAM

The port operator has expanded its number of refrigerated container (reefer) connections by 31%. This development has been made possible thanks to the implementation of a new walkway that has allowed an increase in operation by up to four high containers, resulting in a reduction of approximately 600 tons of CO₂ emissions per year.

To achieve this goal, we propose a solution using custom-made enclosures from our Luxor Series with high sealing capabilities, manufactured in AISI 316L stainless steel for corrosive environments in maritime ports. This makes them the ideal enclosures for strategic maritime applications.
