To handle passenger traffic at Gibraltar airport, a 350-metre-long tunnel was designed to cross the airport runway underground.

However, this project goes beyond this, and includes the construction of an additional parallel tunnel for pedestrians and cyclists, together with the construction of a control and operations centre for the tunnel installations, to include a storage area and an aviation fuel loading and unloading area. In total, the construction of a 1.24-kilometre, two-lane road in each direction, connecting Spanish Border Control with Devil's Tower Road. This is a major infrastructure project due to its implications.

DELVALLE RESPONSE

In this case, the solution we proposed included one of the most reliable and robust solutions we manufacture: TRIBECA in stainless steel with the peculiarity of having a thermally insulated high temperature seal for complete protection and cooling of the interior systems. In an environment close to the sea, salinity and winds in the area are very damaging to these interior automatisms and our enclosure guarantees a commitment to high level protection.
