The Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Bridge Tunnel in Montreal, Canada, was in a critical state of deterioration after decades of service. The constant issues of corrosion and leaks were threatening its structural integrity and jeopardizing the safety of users, making the rehabilitation and expansion of the bridge tunnel an urgent necessity.

The solution came from Delvalle, through custom-made junction boxes from the Geo Series, manufactured in AISI 316L stainless steel with UL NEMA 4X certification. These boxes were specifically designed to withstand the harsh environmental conditions of the bridge tunnel and ensure complete protection against corrosion, moisture and other adverse elements, in accordance with the highest industry safety standards.

The installation of the Geo junction boxes provided an effective barrier against water infiltration and protected the vital electrical components necessary for the operation of the bridge tunnel. Additionally, maintenance costs were significantly reduced and the safety of operators and users was ensured through the modernization of the entire electrical infrastructure and monitoring equipment, preventing potential accidents and traffic delays.
