Hong Kong is at the forefront of implementing new technologies to transform its conventional electrical network into a smart grid to improve network performance and support Hong Kong's vision as a leading smart city of the future. Driven by the growing maturity of digitization and technological innovation in equipment monitoring systems, the opportunity was seized to optimize maintenance strategies.

To address this issue, the company decided to implement an online partial discharge monitoring system in its cables. However, they faced the challenge of finding electrical enclosures that met the specific requirements of their installation. It was at this point that they contacted Delvalle, given our specialization in custom solutions for outdoor electrical enclosures.

After carefully analyzing the project requirements, Delvalle designed and customized the stainless steel enclosures from the Luxor Series to provide the necessary protection for the monitoring components, offering a secure environment while meeting weather resistance standards.

After implementing Delvalle's Luxor enclosures, the renewable energy company achieved successful online monitoring of high-voltage cables, detecting partial discharges at early stages and taking preventive measures to avoid potential failures. This allowed the company to achieve significant cost savings in repair expenses and unplanned downtime.
