A leading global manufacturer has announced its new range of platforms for all types of rigid trucks and tractors, the cab will be integrated into what it calls the world's first 100% hydrogen or all-electric "powered platform" for Class 8 tractors and straight trucks ranging from 19.8 and 48.5 tonnes. These commercial vehicle platforms can run on hydrogen, batteries or a combination of both.

The vehicle platforms include an ultra-lightweight (400 kg) chassis with different lengths, heights and axle configurations, as well as hydrogen tanks, fuel cells, electric motors, transmissions, axles and suspensions.

In addition, these powered platforms are available in two versions: the long-distance hydrogen version has a refuelling time of less than 20 minutes for a range of 800 km and the all-electric version for short distances has a battery change time of 3 minutes for a range of 400 km.

SOLUTION PROPOSED BY THE DEVALLE ENGINEERING TEAM

The project consisted of the realisation of customised robust electrical enclosures for the placement of different mechanisms, as part of the interior of the driven platform.

To achieve the objective, we provided as a solution more than 40 fully customised enclosures of our Luxor Series, manufactured in AISI 316L stainless steel, dustproof and waterproof IP68; making them ideal enclosures for the most demanding conditions, with a useful life of more than 20 years.
