In Paradela (Lugo), construction began on a wind farm with a capacity of 12 megawatts (MW), with a total investment of more than 15 million euros. Operating at full capacity, it will be able to generate more than 42 GWh per year, which will avoid the annual emission of approximately 28,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
The construction of six wind turbines with a unit power of 2 MW employed various innovative tools and techniques, such as machines equipped with active safety systems which warn operators against collisions, drones for topographic surveys, intelligent tracking of turbine components, advanced digital platforms and software solutions to remotely monitor and support the activities and commissioning of the plant.
