The Grangemouth Refinery and Petrochemical Plant is a complex located in the Firth of Forth in Grangemouth, Scotland. It is the only operating crude oil refinery in Scotland and currently one of the six remaining refineries in the United Kingdom.
To ensure optimal and reliable operation for as long as possible, we conducted a comprehensive study and provided a solution consisting of a selection of 30 enclosures: 19'' external rack cabinets from the Storm Series, painted with specially anti-corrosive paint, modular cabinets from the Titan Series, and solar installation cabinets from the Sunbox Series. All of these cabinets are made of AISI 316L stainless steel and have an IP66 rating for dust, moisture, and water resistance.
Additionally, the project included the installation of 12 stainless steel terminal boxes with Atex actuators from the Contrex Series. These terminal boxes are known for their robustness, sealing properties, and corrosion resistance in explosive atmospheres classified as zones 1, 2, 21, and 22.
