Calvados offshore wind farm is located more than 10 kilometers off the coast of Bessin, is expected to be operational in 2024 and the project will be able to generate enough energy for 630.000 inhabitants per year.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy S.A. will supply 64 wind turbines for the project and will be manufactured in Le Havre, at the Quai Joannes Couvert plant.

SOLUTION PROPOSED BY DELVALLE'S ENGINEERING TEAM

Delvalle designed as an ideal solution the Geo Series IP66 junction boxes and Luxor Series cabinets made of AISI 316L stainless steel, a solution that is adapted to the high corrosiveness of wind platforms that are located in marine environments, thus avoiding problems in case of oxidation and protection from splashing waves, eventual immersions or water storms; this makes them a perfect solution for corrosive environments.

In addition, Siemens Gamesa has committed in the project to provide maintenance services for a period of 10 years, so our completely hermetic enclosure design protects the electrical components in a maritime environment with adverse weather conditions, guaranteeing dust and water tightness, as well as a high resistance and durability up to 10 times higher than any enclosure made of any other type of material. At Delvalle we develop customized projects so that they last over time and our customers benefit from all the proposed advantages.
