The Sydney Metro Northwest comprises the first phase of eight train stations and 36 kilometres of track between Chatswood and Rouse Hill, via its twin 15 km tunnels between Bella Vista and Epping, making them the longest rail tunnels ever built in Australia.
The works include the commissioning of the axial fans for the Tunnel Ventilation System (TVS) as well as the Track Exhaust System (TES).
After evaluating the most suitable design for the project (metro) and after studying the requirements for the project, as well as the location of the installation of the enclosures, the Geo Series easily removable junction boxes in AISI 304L stainless steel with IP66 dust and water tightness were determined as the ideal enclosures for the connection of lighting and other electrical systems.
