Fuendetodos, the birthplace of Goya, has recovered the energy of yesteryear with the construction of the wind farm that has revitalised economic activity and rehabilitated cultural heritage. The Loma Gorda wind farm, composed of 7 turbines, generates 70 GWh/year, which is enough energy to supply 17,800 families. Its commissioning reduces CO² emissions by 46,000 tonnes each year.

The construction of this renewable capacity is part of Endesa's strategy to completely decarbonise its generation "mix" by 2050. For this process, according to its 2019-2022 Strategic Plan, it has set itself the milestone of reaching 10.2 GW of installed renewable capacity by 2022, with a total investment of some 3.800 million euros.
